Here's how I will make a difference

American flag waving atop a tall flagpole against a cloudy night sky.

Congress is failing because too many politicians prioritize money over the needs of their constituents. My campaign for Florida District 6 is focused on restoring accountability, fairness, and common sense in politics. This begins with removing big money from the equation so we can effectively address critical issues such as the cost of living, healthcare, and housing as we head into the upcoming election for the US House of Representatives.

1. End Corruption & Get Big Money Out of Politics

• Overturn Citizens United so billionaires and corporations can’t buy our elections in Florida District 6 and beyond.

• Require full transparency for campaign contributions and PAC spending in every election to ensure that the voices of voters are heard over those of wealthy donors.

• Ban members of Congress from trading stocks or accepting lobbyist money to maintain integrity in the US House of Representatives.

• Until we get money out of politics, our elected officials in the US House of Representatives will be making decisions based on donors, not the voters they represent.

2. Strengthen Local Economies & Small Business

• We must shift priorities away from corporate subsidies to focus on small businesses that truly drive our communities.

• It's essential for Congress to simplify SBA access for businesses with under 100 employees and cut the red tape for entrepreneurs so they can thrive.

• We should reward companies that keep jobs local and reinvest in their communities.

• Ultimately, we have to genuinely start investing in Main Street, as it represents the heart of our communities.

3. Make Life Affordable — Housing, Healthcare & Fiscal Responsibility

• In Florida District 6, we are feeling the pressure from rising costs on essentials like groceries and rent. While Congress debates reforms, corporate money continues to hinder meaningful change.

• I’m committed to fighting for policies that make housing attainable again and will implement oversight on the unchecked overdevelopment that burdens our roads, schools, and environment in Florida District 6.

• When it comes to healthcare, the United States spends more than any other nation, yet many people still face financial ruin just to access basic care. It’s time for Congress to hold insurers and drug companies accountable, eliminate waste, and ensure that coverage is affordable for everyone.

• Fiscal responsibility means wisely using taxpayer dollars — prioritizing investments in people rather than boosting corporate profits or sending to bail out other nations.

4. Make Government Work for the People Again

• Congress must prioritize answering to voters instead of catering to donors or party bosses.

• There needs to be complete transparency in every bill and budget presented in the US House of Representatives.

• The emphasis should be on finding bipartisan, practical solutions that enhance life for everyone in our communities.

• Ensuring accountability in government is not a partisan issue; it impacts all citizens.

Eric Yonce Introduction

I am far from a career politician. I am your average Floridian that is fed up with the direction our state and national government is heading. I am choosing to stand up and give a voice for all Floridians that want to protect our values.    I do not have all the answers, nor will I ever pretend to. However, I know that we can find the answers to our problems together. By speaking and listening to one another, we can come up with solutions that work for us, not the big money donors that run this district and state!   It's time we take back Florida and have a true voice within our Government.
