Human Sovereignty

I believe in the fundamental principle of human sovereignty—the right of every individual to govern their own body, beliefs, and future without undue interference from the government. This principle is the bedrock of freedom, dignity, and equality, and it must be fiercely protected in our laws and policies. The following key positions fall within this.

1. A Woman’s Right to Choose

Reproductive freedom is a cornerstone of human sovereignty. Every woman has the right to make deeply personal decisions about her body, health, and future without politicians imposing their will. I stand unapologetically for:

- Enabling access to safe, legal abortion - protected by law.

- Defending Roe v. Wade - protections at the federal level.

- Ensuring access to contraception, healthcare, and comprehensive reproductive services for all.

The government has no place in a woman’s private medical decisions—those belong to her.

2. Access to Gender-Affirming Care

Transgender and nonbinary Americans deserve the right to live authentically and access medically necessary, life-saving healthcare without fear of persecution. I will fight against dangerous bans on gender-affirming care for adults and work to:

- Protect LGBTQ+ rights against discriminatory state laws.

- Ensure healthcare providers can offer evidence-based treatments without political interference.

- Support mental health resources and anti-discrimination protections for transgender youth and adults.

Human sovereignty means respecting every person’s right to live as their true self.

3. Freedom of (and from) Religion

True religious freedom means no single faith should dictate laws for all Americans. I support:

- Separation of church and state, ensuring no religion is imposed through government policy.

  • The right of individuals to practice their faith—or none at all—without persecution.
  • Pushing back against laws that use religion to justify discrimination against LGBTQ+ people, women, or religious minorities.

We should be a country where freedom is FACT—not fiction or just a slogan. As your representative, I will fight to ensure that your body, your identity, and your beliefs are yours alone to determine —not the government’s.
